All biblical information, geographic and selected archaeological evidence were investigated to determine the Exodus route(s) of the Israelites as accurately as possible. There are distinctive phases of the 40-year journey, hence this paper breaks them down into several “routes”.

Evidence points strongly to a Red Sea crossing in the Gulf of Suez and the mountain of Horeb or Sinai to be in the Arabian Peninsula. Comparing the Exodus route information in different books in the Bible, and with some identified locations, also indicates the disobedience of Israel in the last year before entering Canaan by wanting to go their own route. But God forced them by calamities to ask for rescue and to turn around and travel along the border between Edom and Moab, eventually to the east of the Jordan river.

This is part 2.0 of the article covering the journey from their first time at Kadesh, all the wanderings in the wildernesses west of the Seir mountains, and eventually to the east of the Jordan.
